Kidney
Cancer Canada is looking for an Administrative Support Volunteer to
assist in the office one half day per week, during the day (day and time is flexible.) Assist with preparing large scale mailings,
assembling information packages, updating excel spreadsheets, website updates, filing,
etc. Strong verbal and written English

Community
Support Connections - Meals on Wheels and More has the following volunteer opportunities:
-- Seniors' Fitness Class Leaders: Volunteers needed
to teach fitness classes in Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge for the Wellness Active Living Club,
a program is intended to offer active seniors the opportunity to participate in
regular, gentle cardiovascular activity.
Training is provided in-house at our office in north Waterloo; weekly time commitment is
approximately 1-2 hours. Next training
session starts in April and both men and women are encouraged to apply!
-- Drivers - Every Other Thursday: The program runs on the 1st and 3rd
Thursdays of the month at Fiddlesticks Community Centre (71 Cowan Blvd). Pick up two or three clients at their homes
and transport them to the meal site. Enjoy
lunch with the clients and then drive them home. The time commitment is a few
hours; pick-up starts around 11:15 and drop-off ends around 1:30.
-- Drivers - Fridays: Meals
leave from our Franklin Boulevard
office between 10:45 and 12:00. Routes take no more than one hour, and make a
significant difference in the lives of senior citizens in your community!
-- Drivers - Occasional/Fill-In: Pick up a driving shift when a regular volunteer driver is unable to
deliver. No regular commitment required;
the Meals Coordinator will call you in the morning when we know there is a
route to fill. Meals leave from our Franklin Blvd
office between 10:45 and 12:00.
