CAMBRIDGE - Police are asking for your help in locating the driver of a black Hummer who they say tried to talk a teenage girl into his vehicle Wednesday.
Waterloo Regional Police say a 15-year-old girl was walking to school on Erindale Crescent around 9:15 a.m. when an unknown man drove up beside her and asked if she needed a ride. The girl ignored the man and continued walking to school. Police say the man followed her until she got to school.
The man is described as black, in his 30s with short black curly hair and brown eyes. He had an earring in his right ear. He was driving a black Hummer with tinted windows and shiny rims.
Police want to talk to anyone who saw this vehicle in the area at the time. Anyone with information can contact police at 519-650-8500 ext. 2231 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or waterloocrimestoppers.ca.
